Bismuth-based drugs are used to treat Helicobacter pylori infection; however, the antibacterial activity of bismuth, especially against H. pylori, has not been fully elucidated. In this study, the mechanisms by which bismuth exerts its detrimental effects on H. pylori were evaluated.
