Nanorobots are considered an up-and-coming option for tumor-targeting drug delivery. We classified nanorobots into two types: nanomotors and stimuli-responsive nanorobots. One is equipped with self-propulsion and dynamic control ability while the other can detect the biological signal and perform controlled drug release. Moreover, prospects and challenges of nanorobots are discussed, intending to promote their clinical translation.
