Iodine-Catalyzed or -Mediated Reactions in Aqueous Medium

Recent updates in the iodine-catalyzed or iodine-mediated organic reactions like oxidation, reduction, addition, condensation, coupling reactions etc., particularly C−C and C−X bond forming transformations in water solvent. Iodine is the best alternative to metal-catalyzed reactions in accords not only with the goals of green chemistry but also economical view point. The catalytic cycles of iodine-catalyzed reactions are discussed in details.
