The development of modern technologies has caused the formation of the “Industry-4.0” concept, which enables an increase in safety, reliability, energy and functional efficiency through the intellectualization of the manufacturing processes. The implementation of this concept has a special place in the coal mining industry, where one of the strategic tasks is the creation of unmanned coal mines. In this regard, the development of the existing technological structure is necessary. It requires the introduction of an improved technological structure within the framework of the “Industry-4.0” concept, which can be described as the gradual replacement of the underground personnel with appropriate sensors, detectors, and automatic control systems. In addition, the improved structures must have greater reliability and efficiency. In this article to assess the effectiveness of the coal mine working face technological structure the authors propose to use the original indicators. These indicators enable to make a comprehensive assessment of the coal mine working face technological structure “before” and “after” the implementation of the improved technological structure. The results of the analysis have made it possible to quantify the change in functional efficiency during transition to an improved technological structure.
