Hydroalkoxylation of alkynes has come fore as one of the reliable method for the construction of oxygen bearing entities. In this domain, plethora of strategies describing hydroalkoxylation/hydroalkoxylation accompanied cascade reactions of alkynes have been reported for the construction of oxygen bearing complex heterocycles in a diastereo- as well as enantioselective manner.
