As solvent-free synthesis becomes an extensively explored area of synthetic chemistry and as pyrrole is a potent synthon in natural product biosynthesis, a review on solvent-free pyrrole synthesis possesses great significance in the current scenario of environmentally friendly organic synthesis. This review provides an overview of the recent advances in sustainable and solvent-free synthesis of pyrrole derivatives.
