Multiband spatial angular filtering transmissions through cascade asymmetrical metasurfaces

In this paper, a cascade asymmetrical metasurface (CAM) is proposed to generate the functionality of multiband spatial angular filtering transmissions. More specifically, dual-asymmetrical-C-slits printed on the CAM can readily tune the transmission frequencies by controlling the incident angles of electromagnetic waves. In the meanwhile, the CAM with multiple hierarchical structures would be capable of realizing the multiband operative mode with the performance of spatial angular filtering. The proposed method, by using multilayer CAM structures to realize multiband spatial angular filtering transmissions, can offer an efficient way to fulfill reconfigurable radiations of the antennas by tuning the emission frequencies.
