Solving the equivalent circuit of a planar heterojunction perovskite solar cell using Lambert W-function

Solar cell studies are enhanced by the availability of its equivalent circuits that can describe the electrical characteristics represented by their terminal current and voltage behavior under a particular operating condition. The device designation and its optimization can be facilitated theoretically via analytical solutions of its transcendental J-V equation corresponding to its equivalent circuit. We present an analytical solution of the transcendental J-V equation corresponding to a generalized equivalent circuit of a planar heterojunction perovskite solar cell (PSC). The simulated current-voltage curves, power-voltage plots and the calculated performance parameters of four PSCs confirm the validity of the proposed analytical solution.
