Abstract

An algorithm for combined estimating the frequency and its rate of variation of a linear frequency modulated signal by a sample of increasing size is proposed. The proposed algorithm admits recursive calculation of estimates that take into account the presence of time correlation of errors of the original difference-phase measurements. The solution method is distinct in computational efficiency, and the resulting estimate tends to optimal one in the dispersion minimum as the input signal/noise ratio increases.
