Composite bucket foundations have been transported, installed, and operated successfully and economically by the one-step overall transportation method at Qidong, Xiangshui, and Dafeng offshore wind farms in China in recent decades. This study develops a novel analysis method of the structure and transportation mode on the towing system to enhance the stability and efficiency of the transportation system. The experimental setup and some primary results of the towing tank tests during the transportation operation, focusing on the system's responses, would be shared. The factors influencing the responses of the system in different directions under the action of wave–current coupling are determined. The method to estimate the actual responses is found through the experimental results, making the actual transportation and installation process easier.
