Nathan Dow is currently a third-year graduate student in the lab of Prof. David MacMillan at Princeton University. He was born in New Hampshire and completed his undergraduate studies in chemistry at Swarthmore College in 2018 after working with Prof. Robert Paley to investigate the diastereoselective nature of intramolecular reactions facilitated by planar chiral iron-diene complexes. In the MacMillan group, Nathan’s current research focuses on the productive merger of photoredox activation with copper catalysis to enable traditionally challenging chemical transformations via open-shell mechanisms.
