The polarization state of light scattered by a two-dimensional array of spherical particles is considered based on the statistical approach. The impact of filling factor, particle size, and the type of their spatial order is analyzed for arrays of silicon and silica scatterers. The conditions are formulated to suppress the $p$ and $s$ components of light specularly reflected by the array of any size and concentration of particles. It is shown that at an angle of suppression of the coherent component of the reflected wave, its incoherent component is also suppressed.
