Abstract—

We have studied structural and phase transformations of precursors to high-temperature coatings based on yttrium silicate and yttrium aluminosilicate systems and identified general trends in the influence of an oxidizing atmosphere on the heat resistance of coatings produced by slip casting/firing and atmospheric plasma spraying on silicon carbide composite materials at temperatures of up to 1500°C.
