Using the Integral Index to Assess Destabilization Processes in the Immune System of Fish

Abstract

Experience in using the integral index of the leukocyte structure to analyze the response of the fish immune system to various stress factors is summarized. This study yields new information on the nature of the response of the cellular component of the fish immune system to the effects of phenol, naphthalene, heavy metal salts, dichlorvos, an analog of cortisone, and ligulosis. The proposed and tested indices make it possible to come closer to answering the question of the structure of white blood cells in the norm and the nature of the destabilization processes that occur in the immune system of fish under disturbing influences.
