The cover picture shows nanoparticles being trapped and forming an assembly in a potential well. The trapping potential dynamically evolve with the size increase, leading to new phenomenon. Femtosecond laser trapping dynamics have been summarized for silica, hydrophobically modified silica, and polystyrene nanoparticles in aqueous solution, highlighting their distinct optical trapping dynamics under continuous wave laser.
