Technological Distortions of Topology Optimized Parts in Additive Manufacturing

Abstract

Prediction of part technological distortions on the basis of the computer simulation of additive manufacturing (selective laser melting) is considered. The modeling results are compared with experimental data. By simulation, the influence of the part’s position and the number of supports on its technological distortions is determined. Distortions may be decreased by appropriate choice of the production parameters.
