Abstract

The use of self-fluxing Ni12CrFe and NiCr16SiB3 powder in laser cladding within a protective atmosphere (argon) is considered. The characteristics of the powder are determined. Individual tracks and overlapping tracks are produced by laser cladding. The microstructure and microhardness of the samples are estimated. Cladding conditions that produce bulk samples are identified.
