Abstract

Chain coordination polymer [Cu(NH₃)₂]₂[{Cu(NH₃)}₂{Cu(NH₃)(OH)}Re₆Se₈(CN)₆] (1) is obtained by a reaction of Cs_2.75K_1.25[Re₆Se₈(CN)₄(OH)₂]·H₂O with CuCN in the concentrated aqueous ammonia solution under hydrothermal conditions. The compound crystallizes in the hexagonal crystal system with the P6₃/m space group and unit cell parameters a = 9.9902(2) Å, b = 9.9902(2) Å, c = 19.4469(7) Å, γ = 120.00°, V = 1680.85(8) Å³, Z = 2, d_calc= 4.661 g/cm³. The crystal structure is composed of anionic polymer chains [{Cu(NH₃)}₂{Cu(NH₃)(OH)}Re₆Se₈(CN)₆]^2– and complex [Cu(NH₃)₂]⁺ cations located in cavities. The obtained compound is characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, and the elemental analysis.
