Rice bran (RB) is a rice milling by-product that contains protein (12–15%), fat (15–20%) and starch (36%). In article 2000044 by Md Nazrul Islam and co-workers, defatted RB-flour is processed to prepare environment friendly adhesive through the gelatinization of starch and protein ingredients using crosslinking chemicals. Thus, the RB adhesive could be a potential alternative bio-adhesive to the diminish toxic pollutants in synthetic adhesives for composite industries.
