Induction Motor Analysis by Considering Hysteresis Loops in Stator and Rotor

This article describes the characteristic calculation of induction motors with the same shaped rotor bars in equal spaces by considering hysteresis loops in stator and rotor cores. A fast calculation method based on the symmetrical bar shape is proposed to realize this calculation. The validity of the calculation is confirmed by experimental results. It is clarified that the accuracies of the calculated motor characteristics are improved by considering the reaction field caused by the hysteresis phenomenon and eddy currents in the core.
