Electrochemical Sensor Based on Modified Screen Printed Electrode for Vitamin B 6 Detection

Abstract

In the present paper, a screen printed electrode was modified with ZnFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles and then used for an electrooxidation investigation of vitamin B6; in addition, its sensing was studied via differential pulse voltammetry. The current response in the case of vitamin B6 is considerably enhanced on the modified electrode in comparison with that on an unmodified screen printed electrode. A linear relationship among the concentration and the current is achieved in a range of 0.2–350.0 µM for vitamin B6 at optimized states of differential pulse voltammetric values, and the detection limit is equal to 0.07 µM. For the detection of vitamin B6, the fabricated electrode mentioned above showed a fast response. The experiments demonstrated that this simple, eco-friendly, economic, and rapid approach of ZnFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles/screen printed electrode production has a high potential to fabricate a sensor in order to detect vitamin B6 in real samples.
