Non-equilibrium conditions in a luminescent medium during hydrodynamic luminescence of water

This work presents the results of determining the temperature of plasma electrons formed in conditions of hydrodynamic luminescence – the light emission of a fluid during a flow in a narrow dielectric channel. Argon was added to the water-air mixture to measure the electron temperature of the medium, and the analysis of temperature was provided by measuring the intensity of argon lines.

The obtained data on the population of excited levels of argon is interpreted in terms of various theoretical notions. The cause of the abnormal population of 3s23p5(2Po1/2)4p argon levels in argon-hydrogen plasma is discussed.
