Pineal Res. 49, 2010, 356‐363, The above article, published online on 28 July 2010 in Wiley Online Library (https://doi.org/10.1111/j.1600‐079X.2010.00801.x), has been retracted by agreement between the journal Editor in Chief, Gianluca Tosini, and John Wiley & Sons A/S following an investigation based on concerns raised by a reader. The authors did not respond when asked to comment on these concerns. The investigation concluded that the same photographs and x‐ray images were utilized to support the scientific results in several other articles under different experimental setups. Thus, the conclusions of this manuscript are considered not sufficiently supported.
