I am delighted that Social Work published Erika L. Sabbath’s absorbing article titled “The Workplace, Social Work, and Social Justice: Framing an Emerging Research and Practice Agenda” in the October 2019 issue. I fervently agree that our profession needs to pay much greater attention to the workplace as a locus for policy innovation, practice research, and service delivery. Professor Sabbath’s article nicely summarizes some of the pertinent evidence and data, and it presents the advantages (and the risks) of workplace participation with care and with focus.
