This special issue of Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science contains selected papers presented at the 1st International Conference on Industrial Applications of Adhesives 2020 (IAA 2020), held in Funchal, Madeira (Portugal) during 5-6 March 2020.
