Abstract

We report novel styrene derivatives of indole and pyranone. The possibility of their use as fluorogens for FAST protein were investigated. Derivatives of indole do not exhibit noticeable fluorogenic properties, while derivatives of pyranone exhibit superior fluorogenic potential; binding to a protein leads to an increase in fluorescence intensity and a emission red shift.
