Abstract

The debate on the industrialization of the arts arose from a need for rationalization strategies in the creative arts field. This article examines South Korea’s industrialization of the arts initiatives and related discourse during 2004–2018. Highlighting the polarized policy development of the creative arts and cultural industries as an obstacle to the growth of arts fields, the study proposes reorienting the cultural policy from simple distributive arts policy and beyond industrial policy that considers arts a subset. An arts industries’ approach is suggested as a more inclusive policy stance that accommodates nonprofit arts fields, entrepreneurial arts businesses, and related industries.

关于艺术产业化的争论源于对创意艺术领域的合理化战略的需求。本文研究了韩国在2004-2018年间开展的艺术活动和相关论述的产业化。该研究着重指出创意艺术和文化产业的两极分化政策发展是阻碍艺术领域发展的障碍，该研究建议将文化政策从简单的分配艺术政策转向认为艺术是一个子集的产业政策之外。建议将艺术行业的方法作为一种更具包容性的政策立场，以适应非营利性艺术领域，创业艺术企业和相关行业。
