Experience of Application of Computer Tomography for Studying Discontinuities in Parts from Aluminum and Iron-Carbon Alloys

Parts and billets produced from aluminum alloys and carbon steels using different methods of control, i.e., ultrasonic and radiographic inspection, computer tomography and metallographic analysis, are studied. Computer tomography is shown to be more advantageous than the other methods of nondestructive inspection.
