Rebecca Tobi of the Food Foundation describes the Peas Please partnership's food system approach to increasing vegetable consumption across the United Kingdom. She outlines the actions required of businesses and governments to make vegetables more accessible, available and affordable as a route to improving population health.

The Peas Please initiative was launched in 2017 with a clear mission: to make it easier for everyone in the UK to eat more vegetables. Peas Please brings together partners from across the food system ‐ from farmers and retailers to restaurant chains, caterers and manufacturers ‐ with the common goal of increasing vegetable consumption. Committed to collaborative working, Peas Please is led by project partners the Food Foundation, Nourish Scotland, Food Sense Wales, Food NI, Belfast Food Network and Sustainable Food Places, who together have secured engagement and support from organisations in cities, businesses and governments to bring about change to the whole UK food system to improve people's health.
