This special issue of JLA, “Envisioning the Roman Emperor in Speech and Word in Late Antiquity,” collects the seven revised and peer-reviewed papers delivered at a one-day international colloquium by the same title organized by Meaghan McEvoy and Jan Willem Drijvers and held at Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia) on July 25, 2018.
