Abstract:“Typically, we think of the term ‘in the weeds’ in the context of managing a busy restaurant and dealing with complexities, details, and crises that seem to spring anew with each passing moment. The uncertainty of what online teaching could, would, and should look like felt like standing in a diner on a Saturday morning with staff and customers rushing by in the quest for food. As in a diner, the choices and possibilities seem endless, but the primary objective remains the same: to eat and find nourishment. Now, in an online space, what did my students need to eat, so to speak? How could I best meet their needs? How could I retain my own sanity and sustain myself?”
