The primary reason for the selection of this book for this column to review is its unique way of explaining the concepts of electromagnetic theory, which is very often difficult to understand by students, and to apply this theory to antenna design by giving practical examples of antennas used in wireless products from handheld gadgets to smart watches and mobile phones. Thus, this book can help readers to bridge the gap between theory and practice and to well understand the concepts of electromagnetic theory in a clear way. This book discusses the practical implementation of antenna design for wireless products. Since less attention has been given to this topic in traditional antenna design books, this book can serve as a concrete reference for students, researchers, and technicians who want to explore the area of practical antenna design for wireless products. This book does not have any parts; instead, this book has nine chapters in total. The main drawback of this book is that although the book covers the basic topics of fundamental concepts of antenna design and radiation mechanisms, performance related parameters, and basic antenna elements, these theoretical details are not sufficient to jump directly into practical antenna design. Readers still require in-depth theoretical knowledge about underlying electromagnetic theory in order to understand the practical aspects of antenna design. This book can serve as a complementary book of antenna design with particular focus on the practical design of antennas for wireless products. The material presented in the book is coherent and builds the knowledge. Overall, this book is a useful addition to the existing literature of antenna design theory and practical implementation.
