Karin Aggestam is Professor of Political Science and Director of the Centre for Advanced Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University, Sweden. Her research focuses on peace diplomacy, gender, foreign policy and the Middle East. Her recent books include Gendering diplomacy and international negotiations (co-edited with Ann Towns, 2018) and Rethinking peacebuilding (co-edited with Annika Björkdahl, 2014).
