Synthesis and characterization of Schiff bases of pyrazole aldehyde and their metal complexes of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II)

Synthesis of some novel metal complex of different transition metal likes Co, Cu and Ni have been carried out with (E)-5-(3-(3-(4-chlorophenyl)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)acryloyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide ligand with the appropriate metal salts i.e. Co(CH3COO)2·6H2O, Ni(CH3COO)2·6H2O and Cu(CH3COO)2·2H2O. The structure conformation of ligand molecule is done by using various spectroscopic techniques such as 1H NMR, IR and mass. The thermal analyses of synthesized metal complexes are carried out by TGA and DTA under inert gas atmosphere. Further, antimicrobial activity of these synthesized metal complexes are also checked against some selected bacterial and fungal strains and good to moderate biological activity of the metal complexes against selected bacterial and fungal strains are observed in DMF and DMSO solvents.
