Fair-efficient energy trading for microgrid cluster in an active distribution network

In an active distribution network (ADN), energy trading behavior is a key factor that affects the microgrid’s (MG’s) respective operating costs. To ensure that MGs achieve as more operating benefits as possible, this paper proposes a cooperative trading (CT) model that is based on cooperative game. A specific trading mechanism is designed to maximize the total cooperative gains and a comprehensive method is proposed to allocate the total gains among MGs. Theoretical analysis and computational simulation convinced that the proposed CT model is more efficient than direct trading to improve both the total gains and individual gains of MGs. Due to the trading efficiency and the fairness of gain allocation, the proposed method makes the coalition of MGs easy to expand, and keeps the MGs’ long-term incentives to participate in trading.
