Surge de una inquietud respecto a la manera en que se aborda la realidad institucional de las madres cabeza de familia, tanto en el ambito politico como empresarial. Para abordar esta realidad, se partio de un modelo de investigacion cualitativo en donde se hizo una aproximacion a la poblacion a partir de un cuestionario para identificar los roles y percepciones frente al ejercicio de la maternidad y la jefatura femenina, especificamente, cuando se trata de madres trabajadoras. Los resultados que arroja la investigacion, permiten obtener una mirada psico-social de la manera en que se ejerce el rol de madre y de figura de articulacion familiar. EnglishThis article is product of a multidisciplinary and interinstitutional investigation, fruit of the alliance between Universidad San Buenaventura Medellin and Centro de Familia VID – Obra de la Congregacion Mariana de Medellin. It arises from a concern about the way in which the institutional reality of the heads of household is addressed, in the political as well as the corporate sphere. To address this reality, we started with a qualitative research model where the population was approached from a questionnaire to identify the roles and perceptions of the exercise of motherhood and female headship, specifically when it comes to Working mothers. The results of the research allow us to obtain a psycho-social view of the way in which the role of mother and family articulation figure is exercised.
