The Board and Editors of Oxford Economic Papers wish to record with profound sadness the death of Peter Sinclair. Peter’s long association with our journal began with his membership of the Board in 1976. He became Managing Editor in 1982, a position he held till 1992. The tenure of his editorship coincided with the institution of the Hicks Lecture, with its roll call of distinguished lecturers, starting with Robert Solow in 1984. Peter remained on the Board until 2012 but continued to help the journal in many capacities after this time.
