ABSTRACT

We offer an alternative method for evaluating Dirichlet’s integral, i.e., the integral of the sinc function $\text{sin}\hspace{0.17em}(t)/t$ over the positive real line. Our method employs the fundamental theorem of calculus for complex path integrals, but avoids the customary invocation of Cauchy’s theorem.
