ABSTRACT

Librarians from the Acquisitions, Collection Management, and Evaluation (ACME) unit of the Meriam Library at California State University, Chico, worked with departments from the College of Engineering to provide students with hands-on technology kits due to Covid-19 and virtual only instruction. This article reviews technology lending prior to Covid-19 and details the process of working with the instructional departments to process technology kits for circulation. Most of the kit processing was completed remotely. Students were able to pick up kits at the library or kits could be mailed. Considerations for taking on similar projects in the future are also discussed.
