ABSTRACT

This article deals with the problem of intergenerational interactions between teachers and students in the modern educational environment. The authors analyzed the “convention of generations” to determine the nature of interactions between teachers and pupils. This approach was developed based on the generation theories and the age structure of the pedagogical community of the Russian Federation. The fundamental principle of interaction between the student and teacher within the framework of the new methodological approach is the principle of the convention of generations. This approach is presented in comparison to the existing approaches as a new conceptual framework that defines the goals, principles, methods, and results of organizing the interaction of all subjects of the modern educational environment. The subjects are viewed as representatives of different but equal generations in the environment of lifelong learning. The result of this lifelong learning is the achievement of a cooperative educational effect.
