The concluding chapter explains how research into information in the workplace has often focused on a specific perspective, profession or single IUE. Information at Work emphasizes the need for a more holistic approach to address the increasingly interwoven and complex nature of themodernworkplace. The authors conclude by stating that one of the core goals of this book is to promote ‘research into positive WIEs as a component of positive human existences’ (170). Information at Work achieves this by providing the foundation to inspire research into new fields of enquiry. Furthermore, it encourages information management professionals and those in allied professions, to consider how we can drive positive change within modern workplaces now and start creating better WIEs for the future.
