I met Bill, then Edith, in 1970 while an undergraduate at California State University, Long Beach, in conjunction with Bill’s involvement with the Hidden Reservoir Archaeological Project in Madera County. After his retirement, we worked together to complete some of his old projects ranging from Death Valley to Hawaii. During the time I knew Bill and Edith, I was impressed with how they worked as a couple much of the time—active in one phase of William Wallace and crew in 1974 at the Cooper-Molera Adobe in Monterey, California.
