Allika Ruby (1969–2017)

Allika Ruby died of cancer in Winters, California, on 25 October 2017. She was only 48 years old. She leaves behind her husband and fellow archaeologist, Richard T. Fitzgerald, her daughter Calla R. Ruby, her parents Jacqelen Ruben and Richard M. Ruby, sister Keturah Anderson, and several aunts, uncles, and a nephew. Allika also leaves behind many loving friends and colleagues from her productive, 25-year archaeological career, the last 20 years of which were spent at Far Western Anthropological Research Group, Inc., in Davis, California. Allika grew up in the southern California community of Woodland Hills, attending Serrania Avenue Grade School, Parkman Junior High, and Grover ClevelandMagnet High School, where she graduated in 1986.
