The purpose of the study is to analyze the research publications and statistical trends in personality and individual differences research from 1860 to 2017. The bibliometric analysis was made from the articles in Scopus database from its inception to August, 8, 2017 using the keywords such as ‘Personality’, ‘Personality Psychology’ and ‘Individual differences’. The articles and reviews published on Personality for the entire Scopus period was taken for analysis. The top ten Article title, year, citations, Institutions, subject area were retrieved and analyzed by using both PlumX Metrics and SciVal. Among the total articles and reviews (2,19,233) published on Personality, the United States ranked first with an overall publication of 81,664 documents with the H index of 524. The subject matter Medicine forms 59.04%, and Psychology constitutes 45.44%. The journal ‘Psychological Reports’ has the highest number of publication with the impact factor of 0.629. The research in the field of Personality has seen a tremendous growth throughout two decades. USA and UK have got a good number in both quantity and quality publications with high citations and a quite good number of collaborations internationally.
