Indian research output on genetic disorder publication using the Scopus database : A scientometric study

This paper attempts to assess the literary output in genetic disorder productivity during the period (2008-2017), in which a total of 3673 research papers were published in the particular research area. The study shows that the year wise distribution of publication on genetic disorder is increasing year after year and the highest 504 (13.72%) of publications were published in the year 2017, followed by 482 (13.12%) of publications were published in the year 2016 and the lowest 184 (5.01%) of publication were recorded in the year 2008. It is observed that the maximum 36.268 annual growth rate was recorded in the year 2012, and the maximum (9.126%) CAGR was recorded in the year 2010, followed by (6.385%) in the year 2012. Ghosh, K was the most productive author with 66 publications, 30 h-index and 5078 citations. The maximum 2421 (65.91%) of documents were related to medicine subject, followed by Biochemistry, Genetics and Molecular Biology subject with 1435.
