ABSTRACT

Research suggests that touch in therapy is a relatively frequent occurrence. Touch, however, entails important ethical and legal implications. It is therefore important that we begin to look more closely at how touch is taught so that we can begin to establish a knowledge base that will help guide practice and ultimately ensure the safe and effective use of touch. This study explored the experiences of clinical supervisors regarding their supervision of touch. Themes that emerged are discussed.
