Joseph McBrinn has taught at the art schools in Dublin, the Republic of Ireland, and Belfast, Northern Ireland, and has written and lectured widely on the history of Irish art, design and craft. He has served on the editoral boards of Textile: Cloth and Culture and The Journal of Modern Craft, has written for Circa and The Irish Arts Review, and writes a regular column on “Fashion” for Source Photographic Review. He is currently researching a biography of the Irish Cubist painter and stained glass designer Evie Hone (1894–1955).
