For more than 50 years, Daniel S. Hamermesh has been one of the most prolific and influential economists in the world. He has made seminal contributions in the areas of labor demand, wage determination, time use, labor and macroeconomics, research methodology, and many other subjects in labor economics. He has won many prestigious awards, including but not limited to the IZA Prize in Labor Economics, and the Society of Labor Economists’ Jacob Mincer Award for Lifetime Contributions to the Field of Labor Economics.
