Abstract

Chemical oxidative oligomerization of furan as a monomer in helical twisted liquid crystal field and subsequently electrochemical polymerization were carried out with convenient one-pot process, referred to as double step (W-STEP) polymerization in liquid crystal. The pre-alignment of linear formed oligo-furan in the liquid crystal matrix and electrochemical polymerization affords to yield electo-optically active π-conjugate polymer with beautiful finger print pattern.
