Anti-discrimination law occupies a peculiar position at the nexus of public and private law; it encompasses both civil and political rights and obligations between individuals. Beth Gaze and Belinda Smith’s new book, which acknowledges the public-private dichotomy at the heart of anti-discrimination laws, situates the law in its conceptual and social framework.
